Award for Excellence: Adobe names Florian Sydekum from TechDivision an Adobe Commerce Champion

Author: Josef Willkommer

We are delighted to share a special achievement with you: Our longtime colleague and Solution Architect Florian Sydekum was honored by Adobe as an Adobe Champion. This puts him in an extremely exclusive circle of experts in the field of Adobe Commerce in the entire DACH region.

This award not only underlines Florian's exceptional expertise, but also our position as one of the leading Adobe Commerce partners in the German-speaking region.

In spring 2025, the TechDivision was already nominated for two Adobe Rockstar awards, once for Adobe Commerce and once for Adobe Experience Manager . The Adobe Commerce Champion award underlines our leading market position in complex digital commerce projects based on the Adobe Experience Cloud.

What makes an Adobe Champion?

Adobe Champions are absolute top performers who are not only deeply rooted in the Adobe ecosystem, but also actively contribute to the community.
This includes, among other things:

  • Sharing expertise - such as through blog posts, lectures, or workshops
  • Working closely with Adobe - by participating in beta tests, roadmap discussions, and new technologies
  • Driving innovation - through proof of concepts, new features, and best practices
  • Networking and community building - through meetups or international events such as the Adobe Summit

For us at TechDivision, Florian's appointment is a strong signal: we not only implement complex projects at the highest level, but also actively shape the future of Adobe Commerce.

A long-standing passion for Adobe Commerce

Adobe addressed the topic of e-commerce in 2018 with the acquisition of Magento, the world's leading open source store software. TechDivision was one of the first official Magento partners in Europe and, since the release of Magento 1.0 in March 2008, has been able to establish a leading role in the Magento sector in Europe over the years. The acquisition of Magento by Adobe also gave us a foot in the door of the Adobe ecosystem, and over the years we have positioned ourselves as one of the most experienced e-commerce service providers and strategic partners.

Florian has been part of the TechDivision team for 14 years and has been working with Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento) since he joined us, from his first projects as a developer to his current role as Solution Architect at TechDivision.

Today his specialties are:

  • Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service (ACCS)
  • Adobe Commerce Optimizer (ACO)
  • Adobe Developer App Builder
  • Adobe Commerce Reference Architecture

But Florian is not only part of our team; he is also a driving force and innovator. He actively introduces new technologies into our projects and drives their adoption by our customers and internally.

A recent highlight was his appearance as a commerce rock star at the Adobe Summit 2025 in Las Vegas, where he presented a self-developed SAP connector that seamlessly connects SAP and Adobe Commerce via the Adobe App Builder.

Close cooperation with Adobe

TechDivision works closely with the Adobe teams, especially the Commerce product team in Barcelona.

  • Weekly coordination with Adobe engineers
  • Annual on-site meetings to develop new features
  • Joint proof of concepts, e.g., for the SAP connector, which has now been awarded the official Assurance Program Badge and is available in the Adobe Marketplace, are available on the Adobe Marketplace.

This close cooperation helps TechDivision to introduce innovations into projects at an early stage and offer our customers state-of-the-art solutions.

Sharing knowledge internally and externally

It is important to us that we are not just a passive service provider and Adobe partner, but that we take an active role in the Adobe ecosystem. We share our experience and best practices with both our customers and Adobe.

Our Adobe experts not only publish articles and technical contributions in our TechDivision blog, but are also present at international conferences such as the Adobe Summit in Las Vegas or the adaptTo() in Berlin. They provide the latest use cases and best practices relating to the Adobe Experience Cloud.

Finally, we attach great importance to sharing our experience within our team and supporting each other in the implementation of new technologies.

Why this is important

The award shows how strongly TechDivision is networked in the international Adobe ecosystem. For our customers, this means:

  • Early access to new features and technologies
  • Direct insights into the product development of Adobe Commerce
  • State-of-the-art solutions that are sustainable and scalable

As an Adobe partner and one of the leading implementation partners in the DACH region, we and our team are committed to the highest quality and innovation. The appointment of Florian Sydekum as an Adobe Champion is a strong sign of this.

Conclusion

Florian's appointment as an Adobe Champion makes us extremely proud not only because he is one of the few in the DACH region, but also because it confirms our commitment to implementing leading e-commerce solutions with Adobe Commerce.
