Initial Situation
To ensure that LaModula can continue to develop in the future and offer its customers the best possible user experience, the decision was made to upgrade the existing e-commerce platform to the latest state of the art. This includes migrating from Magento 1.9 to Magento 2. 2.3. The technical implementation was carried out by TechDivision in close cooperation with technology partner Atwix.
Another goal of the Austrian company was to go online with three additional international online stores for the German, Italian, and Swiss markets. They also faced the challenge of connecting the web store to the existing ERP system. To guarantee customers an optimal shopping experience, usability was to be improved, the checkout process simplified, and loading times accelerated. At the same time, the design of the store also needed to be updated.
To address the target group in the best possible way, the company set itself the task of providing more and suitable content for the online store that was as appealing as possible.
A particular focus was placed on the topics of safety, high quality, customer orientation, and sustainability. The LaModula values should also be reflected in the online store. To improve the user experience, a lot of love and effort was invested in the product detail pages in particular. These were to offer various configuration options and clearly display all product information. The category pages were to offer users extensive filter options. The store should enable an illustrated search for products, categories, and CMS pages.
By once again winning the “WKO Top of Webshop” award, the requirements of the relaunch were impressively confirmed, and the goal of continuing to offer customers a perfect shopping experience was fulfilled 100 percent.

- The aim of the project was to migrate the online store from Magento 1 to Magento 2 and thus create the most scalable and future-proof basis possible for further expansion.
- In order to guarantee customers an optimal shopping experience, usability was to be improved, the check-out process simplified and loading times accelerated. At the same time, the design of the store was also to be updated.
- The target group was to be optimally addressed with appealing and comprehensive content and provided with comprehensive support when purchasing online.
- Another key objective was to connect the six offline stores and offer customers an optimized consulting and shopping experience in the store.
